Over the past 20 years, semiconductor image sensing has become a commodity, in particular due to the possibility of employing commercially available CMOS and CIS processes for the realization of image sensors with good performance. However, if highest optoelectronic performance must be achieved, specialized semiconductor processes are required, which are usually captive. Our ESPROS Photonic CMOS™ Process Technology combines the best of the two worlds.

Open-Access ESPROS Photonics Technology

We have a unique offer to photonics and image sensor designers, researchers and camera companies alike: The open-access ESPROS Photonics technology is available for everyone with the need to design photonics chips with outstanding optoelectronic performance, with unusual combinations of photonic, analog and digital circuitry, with novel devices combining APS/CCD structures as well as for cost-effective single-chip photonic solutions.

Large Library PDK and Ready To Use IP Available

A PDK with a large library of devices such as photo diodes, CCD elements (and PCells), LV and HV transistors (up to 15 Volts), diodes, MIM capacitors, resistors, etc. is available. Already developed and characterized IP blocks include oscillators, references, amplifiers, comparators, A/D converters, EEPROM, PLL, DLL and more. A full digital library is also offered.
